SPARTA — The Saint Leonides Squires Circle #5177 from Saint Kateri parish in Sparta, recently welcomed eight new members.

The members are David Ames, Brett Coyle, Michael Fowler, John Maione III, Nicholas Mazzella, Tyler Milway, Kenny Oelkers, and Brian Schoch.

Past Chief Squire Frank Cutrone led the ceremonial team that included Danny and Jack Lubertazzi, Sean and James Schoch, Kyle and Jimmy Bliss, John Hunter Zoetjes, and Paul McFadden.

Pastor and Knights Chaplain Father Patrick Rice blessed ceremonial rosary rings that were handed out to all the new members. Grand Knight Mike Sawey and District Deputy Charles Farrie also welcomed the newest Squires to the circle.

“Our continued membership growth allows us to focus on the core principles of faith, family, circle, church, and community," Chief Squire John Puszcs said. "We are excited to welcome our newest Squires to a great organization."

The Columbian Squires are the youth leadership branch of the Knights of Columbus for young Catholic men ages 10-17.
