— Pass It Along Day, formerly known as Serve-A-Thon, is Saturday, May 10.

In its 13th year, the event has grown to become one of the largest one-day service events in Northern New Jersey.

Volunteers of all ages participate in community service projects to help nonprofit agencies throughout Sussex, Morris, Essex and Warren counties. Projects include painting, landscaping, minor structural repairs and planting gardens. Habitat for Humanity, Tilly’s Kids, Family Partners, SCARC, Family Promise and Bristol Glen are some of the nonprofit organizations volunteers will be helping.

“Pass It Along Day is a special day for our community. Our volunteers are helping those in need, our nonprofit partners and the communities at large. This year we’ve added a lot of new projects. Our hope is that we have the largest number of volunteers ever,” said Diane Taylor, President and CEO of Pass It Along.

Volunteers of all ages can go to for a full list of projects and to register.
