NEWTON — Ciana Roman a junior at Kittatinny Regional High School was selected to perform at the All-Eastern Division Convention for National Music Educators in Atlantic City. She is also one of the top twenty alto’s in the state of New Jersey.
Approximately, 400 students were asked to perform in this ensemble. They sang a selection of songs including: the “Famine Song” and “The Tree of Peace.” Ciana loved the opportunity to sing with other students who are also passionate about music. As she tried to put into words what it felt like to be a part of this special event, her face lit up as she recalled the first time the group heard the power and the beautiful sounds they were co-creating. “The acoustics were amazing,” she said. All those talented voices blending together was truly music to the ears.
Congratulations, Ciana! We have no doubt there will be many other concerts in your future.
