Christmas Tree pickup

Hard to believe it's already time to think of taking the Christmas tree down, but tree collection by the Township's Public Works Department (DPW) starts in Sparta Township on Thursday, Jan. 2 and continues through Friday, Jan. 17, 2020.

The Sparta DPW advises residents placing Christmas trees curbside weekdays by 7 a.m. during the collection period. This is intended for Christmas trees only, not other tree branches. It is also not intended for wreath pickup, since wreaths have wires within them.

Make sure to place Christmas trees only - without ornaments, stands, tinsel, bags, lights, etc. - curbside, but off the street.

Jan. 17, 2020 is the last day for curbside pickup.
