Johanna LjungQvist-Brinson, known as Hanna Q, will premier her new choreography “Andare” and “Hope” on April 24. The evening starts with cocktail reception at 6 p.m. The performance starts at 6:30 p.m. The after party will include food and wine.
The Stage in our Woods is located in a beautiful glen that includes a natural bluff with rock formations. It is part of the country estate of Hanna Q and her husband, Max Brinson, who live in a historic house built in 1797.
Attendees must bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for sitting in front of the outdoor platform stage. They are encouraged to bring a shawl and wear shoes suitable for the woods. Mask wearing and social distancing are mandatory.
“Andare” (which means “to go”) is danced to music is composed by Ludovico Euinado. The piece is about restlessness and frustration, and wanting to move, to go forward, somewhere — a feeling many people have after a year of Covid-19.
“Hope” will be full of positive energy, as delightful and harmonious as a flower garden.
The May and September tickets are $35 and include a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. These performances will have different choreography. A ticket for all three performances costs $110.
Dancers performing on all three dates are Abigail Dias, John Trunfio, Kristina Bermudez, Nicky Sartori.
Tickets are available at hannaqdancecompany.com (Upcoming Performances). The address with directions will be provided after the ticket purchase.
