Mentalist coming to Sparta Avenue Stage

SPARTA — An extra-sensory performance is coming to the Sparta Ave Stage, Friday, May 19 at 8 PM. Washington, DC-based mentalist, Alain Nu, The Man Who Knows, will be visiting Sparta and giving demonstrations of his exceptional mental powers and intuition to amaze and entertain. Fascinated by mysticism, hypnosis, and mentalism at an early age, Alain has focused his career on using the powers of “probability, psychology, suggestion, and good timing” to perform mysterious mind feats that defy rational perceptions; such as foretelling the future, reading people’s thoughts, and influencing behaviors. Donn Murphy, Ph.D., Executive Director of The National Theatre said that Alain Nu is “the modest explorer, the gracious and kind tour guide leading the audience into investigations and ultimately mysterious realms”. The Washington Post review suggested, “Throw out all the rules of Physics”.
Alain Nu has starred in his own four-part TLC TV series, “The Mysterious World of Alain Nu.” He has headlined at Las Vegas casinos, theaters around the world and was recently the honored as the headlining act for the Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Illusionarium Theater”. He performs annually at the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. with his presentations entitled “The ESP in Espionage”. Alain has entertained at three Presidential Inaugural Balls, for numerous actors and business magnates and top politicos of Capitol Hill. In short, he has entertained sophisticated audiences with his abilities to blur science and rational thought with his demonstrations of seemingly inexplicable phenomena.
When asked about his secretive powers Alain says “first and foremost he considers himself an entertainer”. He said his show challenges people “to explore how we are all strangely connected through a mysterious energy” and he demonstrates this with amazing accuracy.
Joe Garsetti, the co-proprietor of The Sparta Ave Stage invited Alain Nu to the Sparta Stage because “we have never had a performer like Alain visit the Stage or our community before. The day before the performance, on Thursday night, May 18th at 8 PM, Alain will share his philosophy, theory and hidden workings of his impromptu mentalism with a special workshop (magicians only).
