Nature in art

Creatures of the season featured in wildlife art show Vernon — An artists' reception will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, for a new show called The Nature of Halloween, on display at the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. The exhibit consists of contributions from students in the Refuge's landscape and wildlife drawing class and it includes drawings and paintings of bats, owls and spiders — a tribute to the creatures of Halloween season.
