Run to benefit Moscato

Vernon — A 5K to benefit Michelle Moscato sponsored by Vernon Recreation will take place during the Vernon Day festivities on Sunday, June 5 at Maple Grange Park. The event will include a 5K run and 1-mile walk. Race and walk start time is 8:30, with a 7:45 a.m. time for packet pick-up and race day registration. Runners and walkers can register on line at www.vernontwp.com through June 3. The entrance fee is: Walkers $18; Runners $20. On the day of the event, all participants will pay $25. Proceeds from the event will benefit Michelle Moscato, a Vernon resident who suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2003. Moscato is a Vernon High School graduate and former field hockey player.
