— New Jersey’s Biggest Event is back. State Fair Meadowlands, the largest fair in the New York metro area, returns this summer with over 150 thrilling rides and awe-inspiring attractions. The fair runs every day from June 22 through July 9 at the State Fair Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
State Fair Meadowlands features electrifying entertainment, including over 50 white-knuckle rides and breathtaking performances. Adults and children alike will be captivated by incredible entertainers, from spectacular thrill shows to silly magic shows and the largest kiddieland in New Jersey.
One of the highlights from last year, The All-American Thrill Show, is back this summer. Gymnastic acrobats and aerialists will dazzle and delight audiences. Watch them perform dizzying feats on the high wire and 90-foot sway pole. And, if you need even further excitement, watch the elegant and powerful performers in The Amazing High Dive Show shock and amaze as they soar from an 85-foot platform into a pool of just 10 feet. Both acts will perform twice per day at this year’s fair.
There is something at State Fair Meadowlands for everyone from the young to the young at heart. Kids will love the stylings of Master Hypnotist Steve Bayner a phenomenal and hilarious hypnotist who manages to be funny and amazing at the same time. Or take in a stunning magic show from one of the best performers around. You won’t believe your eyes when you check out the great Artie Miller and his Art of Magic Show. Both performers feature daily shows, including two hypnotist shows per day.
Everyone loves animals and two of the most popular furry and friendly attractions are back at State Fair Meadowlands in 2017. Commerford’s Petting Zoo & Live Animal Rides let kids get up close and personal with animals of the world and offer a perfect spot for ridiculous and hilarious selfies. Open to the public throughout the fair, kids and adults alike can meet and greet their favorite animals and even go for a ride for an extra fee. Plus, the hysterical Racing Pigs are back by popular demand for a 29th consecutive year. Throw your arms in the air and cheer them on as they rip up their real piggy racetrack. You will have plenty of chances to see these pot-bellied speedsters, as they perform five races per day.
Returning as always is the family favorite, the Sky Ride. Take a trip from one end of the midway to the other. Soar high above the fair and get a sky-high view of the dazzling carnival midway, not to mention the best view of New York City you will find anywhere.
Tasty treats will be available throughout the fair from a wide variety of incredible food vendors from around the country. Fairgoers will love the classics like corn dogs, funnel cakes, candied apples, deep-fried Oreos and cotton candy, among a tremendous assortment of other delectable goodies. A full line up of food vendors, new and old, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Of course, what would State Fair Meadowlands be without spectacular fireworks shows? The fair is proud to announce a pair of stunning fireworks performances centered around independence day.
