Truran launches his latest book

SPARTA-William R.Truran , local historian, published author and college professor is launching his latest book, "Sparta, NJ : Head of the Wallkill" at the March meeting of the Sparta Historical Society. The book covers the history of Sparta's farms, railroads, churches, and commercial district highlighting those individuals who contributed to the formation and personality of Sparta and Lake Mohawk. The book is filled with detailed research and conversational folklore. Residents are invited to join the members of the society for this debut discussion and book signing.
