Ringwood Manor is one of the foremost Victorian homes in America, located on the 15,000 acre Ringwood State Park, in western Passaic County. The existing mansion was started in 1807 by the Ryersons and added to by the Hewitts for a period of over 100 years. Thus, the present Ringwood Manor displays architecture from the Federal through the Victorian and Edwardian periods. Each addition is interesting and significant. Ringwood Manor, left by the Hewitts, is one of the few homes that still contain original furniture, books, and clothing of the Hewitt family. It has 51 rooms and shows how families like them lived during the 19th and 20th centuries. Come visit in December to get a glimpse of what life was like was back then. Enjoy some Victorian treats at the Coffee House, learn about the history, and get into the holiday spirit with music and decorations throughout the home.
