Wally Lake Fest offers outdoor fun

Annual festival days coming in August Hawley, Pa. — The 2nd Annual Wally Lake Fest is a weekend-long festival featuring events located throughout the Lake Region including the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center, Downtown Hawley, area businesses and on the lake. Some highlights include: The Boat, Watercraft and Seadoo Show, at Wallenpaupack Area High School, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can browse boats, watercraft and Seadoos. Lighthouse Harbor Marina, First Klas Marina and The Boat Shop will have products on display. Admission is free The Boat Parade at Lake Wallenpaupack, is on Saturday, Aug. 27 and is sponsored by Davis R. Chant Realtors. Decorated boats will be driven in the Wally Lake Fest Boat Parade. The parade starts at 4 p.m. The best “dressed” boat wins. Watch the parade come down the lake and end in front of the Tafton Dike judge’s platform. The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 28. Outdoor adventures PPL Dam and Power House Tours, PPL Environmental Learning Center, Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m..
