Scouts work on 'Operation Gratitude' ahead of Thanksgiving
Youth. Local Scouts worked on various service projects such as "Color a Smile" and "Operation Comfort Cards" at their regular monthly meeting in November.
At Cub Scout Pack 295's recent monthly meeting the theme was "a scout is helpful," which is part of the Scout Law. The lions and tiger scouts (Kindergarten & 1st graders) had an activity called "Color a Smile" for senior citizens (https://colorasmile.org/).
The Wolf and Bear Scouts (2nd & 3rd graders) worked on "Operation Comfort Cards," which will be sent to wounded members of U.S. Military service. (http://www.operationquietcomfort.org/projects/cards-for-our-heroes-a-fun-and-easy-project-for-your-group/).
The webelos 1 & 2 Scouts ( 4th & 5th graders) worked on "Operation Gratitude," making cards which will be sent to members of the military and to first responders. (https://www.operationgratitude.com/express-your-thanks-group/paracord-bracelets/).
