Montague man gets 90 days in home detention
NEWTON. David Miller, 71, pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault in a domestic violence case.
David Miller, 71, of Montague was sentenced to 90 days in home detention and three years probation Nov. 30 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
He also was ordered to complete a batter’s intervention program and pay fines and fees.
Miller pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault Sept. 11.
He admitted causing bodily injury to a person who meets the definition of a victim of domestic violence.
• Peter Montanaro, 42, of Sussex pleaded guilty to third-degree eluding Jan. 3 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 8.
He admitted that he fled or attempted to elude a police officer while on a motorcycle in Hamburg after the officer signaled him to stop.
• Michael Regan, 60, of Wayne pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree theft Jan. 2 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 22.
He admitted obtaining payments from multiple victims by creating fraudulent documents for construction and handiwork estimates. He then took the deposits and never returned to do the work.
• Jameek Goodwin, 30, of Paterson pleaded guilty to third-degree eluding and third-degree theft Jan. 3 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 8.
He admitted stealing a motorcycle from a residence and attempting to elude police after being signaled to stop.
• John Brown, 63, of Hamburg pleaded guilty to fourth-degree credit card theft Dec. 13 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 1.
He admitted taking a credit card and cash from a lost wallet he had found on the ground at the ShopRite in Franklin.
• John Lafferty, 68, of Morris Plains pleaded guilty to fourth-degree driving while suspended, no insurance, unregistered vehicle and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle Dec. 13 in Superior Court in Sussex County.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 1.
He admitted operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended for a second or subsequent driving while intoxicated offense. He also admitted to consuming alcohol in the vehicle.
