Enjoy the sounds of the summer this week in Sussex County.

Live at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15, listen to the acoustic musings of Maribyrd from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 7.

At 6:30 p.m., Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, will host singer-songwriter Gerry Arias. Arias will showcase three new songs, two recorded in Ireland and one in Costa Rica, alongside his favorite covers.

The music of Dan Pierson also will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Alibi Beach Bar & Grill lakefront at 172 Lackawanna Drive, Stanhope.

At Franklin’s Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23, the rock outfit Foster Children will be performing starting at 8 p.m.

Start your Saturday, July 8 at the Sparta Farmers Market, strolling to the sounds of Bard of the Hills’s acoustic Irish and folk music from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From noon to 2 p.m., visit the Sussex County Fairgrounds’ Pupstock Festival, 37 Plains Road, Augusta, and listen to Red Reyne perform their all-American rock ‘n’ roll covers.

At the Lafayette House from 6 to 9 p.m., Jeris Cook will present his blend of soul music.

At the Alibi, Sick Star Nation will play an acoustic set at 6:30 p.m.

At 8 p.m., the Harrisons duo will whisk you into their genre-blending orbit at the Airport Pub, 65 County Road 639, Sussex.

The Hopatcong Sound Machine trio will bring you their favorites from the ‘80s live at Brick & Brew, kicking off at 8 p.m.

The Outlaws are headlining the Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St., Newton on Saturday night. Members of the group are considered Southern rock legends and are celebrating a triumphant return to rock.

Their latest single, “It’s About Pride,” released April 26, honors their legacy while highlighting the band’s new revitalization.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 9, travel to Barcelona with the sounds of George Orlando and his Spanish guitar at the Krogh’s Nest, a rooftop bar above the Sparta restaurant. Orlando’s rumba and 19th-century Spanish compositions will be the perfect Sunday serenade.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, prepare to be captivated by the rich harmonies of Mike and Krissie as they cover a wide range of rock music from the ‘80s to today at Krogh’s.
