Performers will be playing rock ‘n’ roll, country, acoustic tunes and dance music this week in Sussex County.

Friday, July 5

Enjoy dinner at the Lafayette House, 75 Route 15, while listening to vocalist Bronwen Yoncak starting at 6 p.m.

Or head to Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, to hear singer-songwriter Bernie Drury. Influenced by storytellers, such as John Prine, Jim Croce and Lyle Lovett, Drury brings a mix of serious and lighthearted songs. He’s also a member of Skylands Songwriters Guild and co-host of “The Song Writer’s Gig” podcast.

For vinyl enthusiasts, catch Paul Derin spinning tunes for Booze and Grooves night at 7 p.m. at Milk Street Distillery’s, 1 Milk St., Branchville.

The Sparta Summer Concert Series will kick off at 7 p.m. in Dykstra Park, 25 Mohawk Ave., featuring Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen. Known for their dynamic blues-influenced rock ‘n’ roll, frontman Dustin Douglas aims to blend traditional blues with heavy rock influences, creating a unique sound that pays homage to the Stones, Zeppelin and the Faces while incorporating modern elements from bands, such as Rage Against the Machine.

If you’re looking for more interactive fun, head to O’Reilly’s Pub & Grill, 271 Spring St., Newton, for a karaoke night.

Saturday, July 6

Starting at 10 a.m., hear a performance by Bard of the Hills at the Sparta Farmers Market, 89 S. Sparta Ave., while you shop for local goods.

Dave & John will bring their uptempo acoustic covers to the Lafayette House at 6 p.m.

At 7 p.m., the Poor Horseman will play traditional country and honky tonk favorites at the Milk Street Distillery.

At Brick & Brew, 27 Route 23, Franklin, the three-piece band Mile 39, featuring Bill Repasy, Randy Pachella and Earl Hornyak, will play a rockin’ set starting at 7 p.m.

At 9 p.m. at O’Reilly’s, prepare to sing along to classic rock hits with Steve Coombs.

Sunday, July 7

At 2 p.m., DUG the Band will play at Skylands Craft Beer & Wine Garden, 447 Route 284, Wantage.

A rock show hosted by Valley Records & Antiques, 23 Omega Drive, Vernon, will start at 5 p.m. It features out-of-town bands Hormone from Baltimore and WAAH from Brooklyn and local legends Bog Imp.

Tuesday, July 9

Enjoy the acoustic melodies of Sean Henry on the patio of O’Reilly’s starting at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 10

At 4 p.m., Hudson Blue will play ’80s and ’90s dance music for Danny C’s Hot Rod Cruise Night & Summer Concert Series at Blue Arrow Farm, 86 Glenwood Road, Pine Island, N.Y.

At 5 p.m., Sean Henry returns to McQ’s Pub at Lake Lenape, 165 Andover Sparta Road, Newton, for his weekly set.

Ray Sikora will host his karaoke night at 6:30 p.m. at the Homestead Restaurant, 294 N. Church Road, Sparta.

Shane Casey will perform at O’Reilly’s for Ladies Night, starting at 7 p.m.

Thursday, July 11

Take the mic yourself or enjoy others’ performances of the Homestead Rest’s open mic night starting at 6 p.m. Sign-ups start at 5:30 p.m.

Doug Heyburn, a singer-keyboardist, will bring his talents to Krogh’s at 6:30 p.m.

The Glenwood, 2 Vernon Crossing, Vernon, welcomes Kyle Hancharick for his acoustic selections starting at 7 p.m.

At 8 p.m., enjoy a game of music bingo at O’Reilly’s Pub.
