Kristen Fabian of Sparta recently received her master’s degree in accounting from the McIntyre School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Before attending UVA, she graduated from the College of Charleston, in Charleston, South Carolina in May 2010. Shen is now studying to become a certified public accountant and will begin employment with Elliott Davis accounting firm in Charlotte, N.C. Margaret Daley of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Furman College in Greenville, S. C. Eric MacPherson of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt. Tyler Collins of Sparta was named to the dean’s list at the State University of New York at Geneseo for the spring 2011 semester. Danielle Murray of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for spring 2011 semester at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.. Kristen Lewandowski of Sparta recently graduated from the University Of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in health behavioral science/fitness management. She will be attending the three year post graduate doctoral program in physical yherapy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. Cristina L. Garafola of Sparta graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., where she was also named to the dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester. She majored in Chinese and world politics. Kelsey Murphy of Sparta, graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Nicholas Gil was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. Courtney Lynn Thompson of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jennifer Bogert of Hopatcong was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. The following Sparta residents were named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at Rowan University: Brandon Scott Dock, Dominique Crescence Klimek and Dakota Ryan Pierson. Matthew A. Molski of Sparta earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Yale University in May 2011 by defending his thesis entitled “Investigating the Fluorous Effect in Beta 3-Peptides.” Molski, who is the son of Thomas Molski and Patricia Felth of Sparta, graduated from Sparta High School in 2001 and from The College of New Jersey in 2005. Molski has accepted a post-doctoral research position at Yale Medical School. Jamie Jackson of Highland Lakes was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She was also inducted into the National Honor Society Phi Eta Sigma.
