Bobbie Joe Kuhnert

Bobbie Joe Kuhnert, age 51, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Newton to the late Peter P. Lukawitz, Sr. and Harriet (Courtright) Lukawitz, Bobbie Joe had lived in Sussex County all of her life. She had been a nurses aide and had been employed at Barn Hill Care Center, Andover Nursing Home and currently at the Homestead Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and her siblings, Oscar Lukawitz, Peter P. Lukawitz, Jr., Joseph Lukawitz, Robin (Lukawitz) Beatty, Roxanne (Lukawitz) Malone, and Pamela Lukawitz. Bobbie Joe is survived by her sister, Linda L. Lukawitz of Sparta and her boyfriend, Tom Maxcy. Private cremation services have been held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family an hour prior to the service from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
