Frances "Joan" Baldwin of Newton, dies at age 90

Frances “Joan” Baldwin, 90, of Newton, passed away peacefully on Oct. 29, 2018. Joan was born in Elkins, West Virginia on Aug. 10, 1928 to the parents of Ofah and Opal Wamsley. Her first husband was the late William R. Steinbach, former mayor of Westwood, New Jersey. Joan is also predeceased by her second husband Douglas P. Baldwin; her sister Wanda Wyatt and son-in-law David Forman. She is survived by her devoted daughters: Coreen Trombley and her husband Donald; and Kathy Bonagur and her husband John. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Gabriel, Anthony, Aaron, and Evan and great grandchildren: Brendan, Layne, Cole, and Lyra. Friends may call Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 from 9 a.m. -10 a.m. visiting, followed by a 10 a.m. service at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory to the American Heart Association.
