Frederick William Blaine

Frederick William Blaine, Sr. of Hamburg, N.J. passed away at Newton Medical Center on Thursday, March 3, 2022 after a long illness. He was 89 years old.

Born to Amos and Eudora Blaine in Mendham Twp., N.J., he lived in Hopatcong before moving to Hamburg, N.J. in 1972.

Frederick served with the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked many laborer jobs before working as the Road Superintendent for Hamburg Road Dept., eventually retiring in 2002. He was also a member of the Vernon VFW Post # 8441.

Frederick is the beloved husband for 53 years of Lillian Blaine (nee Beck) of Hamburg, N.J.; devoted father of Frederick W. Blaine, Jr. and his wife, April of Highland Lakes, N.J. and Joseph Blaine and his wife, Kim of Butler, N.J.; and loving grandfather of Chandler, Emma, Abigail, Morgan and Arianna.

A celebration of Frederick’s life will be scheduled for a later date.
