Marilyn E. Dragos
Marilyn E. Dragos (nee Bogart) 77, of Sparta, NJ, passed away on February 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City, was a lifelong resident of NJ, living in Sparta since 1978. She graduated Cum Laude from the College of St. Elizabeth in 2000. She was a member of Sigma Beta Delta, the National Honor Society in Business and Management and Administration since May 1998. Marilyn was Past President of the Sparta Welcome Wagon and was on the Auxiliary of the Sussex County Homestead. She received a Gold Award from the United Way, and received an Unsung Hero Award from the NJ Hemophilia Association. She was league director and coach for the Sparta Soccer Association and actively solicited funds for Project Graduation for Sparta High School. Marilyn worked for Warner-Lambert Company in Morris Plains, NJ for 20 years retiring in 2000. Most recently she worked for the Dendreon Corporation in Morris Plains, NJ as a requiting Coordinator. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard. Marilyn is survived by her devoted son, Thomas Dragos and his wife Lisa; and loving daughter Jill Poles and her husband Rob. She is also survived by her 5 loving grandchildren: Olivia, Isabella, Giada and Viviana Poles and Kennedie Dragos and her brother Richard Bogart. Friends may call Thursday 4-8pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 247 Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
