Oroho, Mchose and Chiusano recognized as 'Defenders of Liberty'
SPARTA — Senator Steve Oroho, Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose and Assemblyman Gary Chiusano, R-24, were recognized as “Defenders of Liberty” by the American Conservative Union (ACU).
“Standing up for taxpayers and traditional values in New Jersey is a top priority for Alison, Gary, and me,” said Oroho, who serves on the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. “We are continuing our mission to make New Jersey more competitive to bring in new businesses and private sector jobs and it starts with making sure our tax policies are attractive.”
ACU announced its inaugural ACU Ratings of the New Jersey State Legislature honoring the Garden State’s true conservatives. The nation’s oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization began a new initiative to expand the highly touted ACU Congressional Ratings program to state legislatures, grading members on their votes on key conservative issues. The winners of the Defender of Liberty award was given to those members of the New Jersey State Legislature who were present and cast a vote for each adjudicated roll call and scored 100 percent.
