One Step Closer Animal Rescue (O.S.C.A.R.) in Sparta received a $1,500 “Crazy Deal” gift card from Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) to purchase supplies, including pet food, beds, toys and chews, cleaning supplies and more.
OSJL, a retail chain that sells household goods, clothing and grocery items, said more than 190 animal welfare organizations throughout the region benefited from its third annual ”To the Rescue” charitable program, a partnership with its customers.
Recipients include municipal shelters, wildlife centers, rehabilitation farms and nonprofit rescue organizations within a 20-minute driving distance to OSJL’s 152 stores in the Northeast.
