2 residents hurt in house fire
SPARTA. They are expected to make a full recovery after being treated for burns, officials say.

Two residents was taken to a local hospital for treatment of burns after a house fire Monday, Oct. 14, Sparta police and fire officials said.
They are expected to make a full recovery.
Firefighters were dispatched about 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14 to a home at 190 West Shore Trail for a reported structure fire.
They found heavy fire out multiple windows when they arrived.
Firefighters from Sparta, Andover, Byram and Ogdensburg responded and they stayed at the home for several hours extinguishing hot spots. Jefferson Township provided coverage for Sparta units and the Sparta Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Newton First Aid Squad provided rehab on scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
