There are lots of fun and educational events up ahead at the Sparta Public Library.

The Sparta Public Library has the following events coming up for kids/teens:
• Friday, Feb. 1, at 5:30pm: The Hate U Give Movie. The Library be showing the movie at 5:30 p.m. and raffling off a copy of the book. Popcorn will be served, attendees are welcome to bring their own food. Event details are on the website calendar, registration is required.
• Thursday, March 14, at 6-7:30 p.m.: Youth Art Month Exhibit and Reception featuring artwork by the students of Helen Morgan and Mohawk Avenue Schools. The Sparta Public Library hosts this annual event with Allison Keenan, the Art Educator at both schools. Student artwork is hung on the first floor of the library for the month of March and students, their families, and the public is invited to the reception event. Light refreshments will be served. If needed, the snow date for this event is Thursday, March 28 from 6-7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, March 23: NJ Makers Day.
