Behavioral counseling business expands mental health services





NEWTON — Deborah Drumm, psychiatric nurse practitioner with a practice in Newton, is happy to announce the addition of several clinicians to join her treatment team.
Doreen Rasp, APN is a dual certified family and mental health nurse practitioner. In her role as part of Advanced Behavioral Counseling, Rasp provides pharmacological management for a variety of mental health disorders. Her areas of professional interest include management of post-partum depression, major depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, and Attention Deficit Disorder. She plans on treating the depression and anxiety linked to Lyme disease and their co-infections: bartonella, erlichiosis and barbesia. She is interested in the connection between Lyme disease and its residual effects contributing to mental health disorders. Rasp has been a Registered Nurse since 1995, and completed a Master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Rutgers University in 2009 and has specialized in primary care as well as gastroenterology. Her blended experience has led to increasing awareness and interest in connection between the brain and the gut. In 2015 she completed a Post-Master’s certification as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University. The dual certification allows her to provide comprehensive holistic care to all of her clients.
Molly Hird, LPC (formerly McGoldrick) is a licensed professional counselor who worked with Drumm as part of the Bridgeway Sussex Community Support Team for 6 years. She was able to provide comprehensive services through Case Management, Supported Employment, and Partial Care. Molly holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The College of New Jersey and a Master's in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the William Paterson University of New Jersey, where she graduated at the top of her class. She has been devoted to helping adults and adolescents impacted by mental health issues in a variety of settings for the past 15 years. Hird is thrilled to join Drumm and the other practitioners at Advanced Behavioral Counseling. She specializes in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and severe and persistent mental illness.
Patti Packard, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 16 years of varied training and experience in Northern New Jersey. While working in behavioral health, domestic violence and sexual assault services, Packard developed a specialization in the treatment of underlying trauma. Using an empowerment model and an array of interventions, Patti has devoted her career to helping those impacted by various traumas to not only survive but thrive in their lives. Packard supports her profession and community as a social worker and is also a Reiki Master. She graduated from New York University and is an adjunct professor at Sussex County Community College and a Certified Clinical Supervisor for young professionals pursuing their credentials.
Norie Pereira, office manager, has worked in the mental health field as an insurance administrator and an office manager for over 16 years. She corresponds with patients and generally keeps the office running by taking over the many administration responsibilities. She has kept up to date with the many changes affecting the medical health field, such as new CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, as well as changing patients’ records from paper to electronic medical records. She empathizes with clients and believes in supporting them in any way she can.
Anne Nedelka, LPC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology 1993 and Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University 1997. She is licensed by the State board of Marriage and Family Examiners and holds a Certificate in Gerontology/Aging from the Grotta Foundation. Nedelka’s clinical expertise extends over one’s life span for people with acute and chronic mental illness from childhood to senior years. She is an intensively trained team member of both Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
