2nd graders from Brownie Troop 6564 at Reverend Brown School, Sparta recently visited the Sparta Police Station. Lt. John Lamon was kind enough to give the troop a tour and talk with the girls about the important work the police do to keep everyone safe. The girls had a fantastic time. They presented Lt. Lamon with some Girl Scout cookies, a fruit basket and Reverend Brown's official Kindness Coin in appreciation for the kindness he showed them. Reverend Brown is currently encouraging students to give out coins to people within the community who exemplify kindness. The girls learned exactly how much the police do that every day!
