Students at Dance Expression Dance Arts in Hardyston performed in the On Point Dance Competition in West Milford on March 22-24 and won several awards.
• The Association of Dance Competitions & Conventions Studio of Excellence Award for technique, artistry, performance and sportsmanship.
• Overall high score for advanced senior small groups for jazz small group, “20th Century Fox Mambo.”
• Choreography award for all 13 and older for Advanced Groups for “20th Century Fox Mambo” (choreography by Tony Manskar).
• Overall high score for advanced senior large groups for contemporary large group, “She Used to Be Mine” (choreography by Yvonne Francica).
• Platinum Award and second overall high score for advanced productions for musical theatre production, “Aladdin” (choreography by Ellen Decker).
• Numerous Platinum Awards and Special Awards.
• Four first place Dynamic Performance Awards for Outstanding Performances.
