Enjoy food and fun at Byram Day
BYRAM TOWNSHIP — Free children’s rides, a dunk tank and the popular Stone Soup Symphony are among this year’s additions to Byram Day, being held Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11-5 pm, at Neil Gylling Park on Mansfield Drive. The rain date is Sept. 10.
Vendors will be selling everything from acrylic artwork, jewelry and pocketbooks to garden arbors, bathtubs, hair bows and LuLaRoe clothing. Learn about mosquitoes and honey bees and purchase beeswax products. Find out about Byram’s senior services, aphasia, free dietician advice and other health services.
Visit the historical schoolhouse, straight across from the cool cars and trucks display (registration still open). Have lunch and/or dinner in the shaded picnic area: Low cost pizza, cheeseburgers, Italian meatball subs, sausage and marinated chicken sandwiches, roasted corn on the cob, hot dogs and chili, ice cream, Italian ices and more will be available. Enjoy ongoing music and performances throughout the day.
Kids can climb into ambulances, fire trucks that squirt water, police cars, a school bus, dump trucks, a race car and other vehicles at the Touch-a-Truck exhibit.
Meet Miss Byram and her Royal Court, and applaud local hikers who have trekked 50 miles or more this year.
All are welcome to participate in the FREE 5K run/walk through Byram’s beautiful Mansfield Woods. Register online at byramtwp.org or at the event between 10:15 am and 10:45 am for the 11:15 am start. The fastest male and female runners will receive the coveted birch log award.
