Families sought for program
SPARTA. The Center for Prevention & Counseling is looking for residents to participate in a program designed to enhance family connections.
The Center for Prevention & Counseling is looking for Sparta families to participate in a program designed to enhance family connections.
The initiative is provided by center through a partnership with the New Jersey Prevention Network made possible through a grant funded by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Participants must live in Sparta, have at least one child between the ages of 10 of 14, and be able to attend 11 weekly sessions.
The program starts Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Sparta Middle School, 350 Main St. It runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The program includes a family dinner time, separate parent and youth break-out sessions, and dessert and a session wrap-up.
Participants will receive a weekly gift card and will be eligible to be entered into weekly family package raffle to win tickets to local attractions and dining. An additional $200 gift card will be given to each family who completes the program.
