The fourth annual Run Against ALS 5K and a one-mile fun run will be Saturday, May 20 in Mountain Lakes.
Brian Foderaro, a former Sparta resident, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in October 2019 at age 37.
His childhood best friends created Run Against ALS to create awareness and raise money to help fight the neurodegenerative disease.
The fourth annual Run Against ALS 5K with a one-mile fun run will be Saturday, May 20 in Mountain Lakes. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the fun run at 9:45 a.m.

Foderaro graduated from Sparta High School in 2000. He played football and wrestled there.
