The Girl Scouts Daisy Troop 98809 from Alpine Elementary School in Sparta turned their empty cookie cases into scratch pads for cats at local rescue organizations.
The girls learned about recycling and upcycling, giving new life to something that might have been trash.
The scratch pads were donated to Cold Nose Warm Hearts Animal Rescue through WaggMore and to Father John’s Animal House.
