It’s never too early to learn how to be an entrepreneur.

Middle school students at Hilltop Country Day School are doing just that this holiday season with the launch of their first product: Frosty Grams.

Students in Grades 5-8 participate in an elective program and one of the offerings is the Hilltop School of Business, an experience-based entrepreneurship program. The program seeks to expand students’ knowledge of business types, marketing, financing and product development.

“In the spirit of the Holiday Season, our young entrepreneurs have launched the Frosty Gram. Frosty Gram is a handmade snowman that is gift wrapped and secretly delivered to a Hilltop friend or faculty member,” said Technology Teacher Maura Young. “Our young sales force has transformed their ideas into a tangible enterprise, while spreading some holiday cheer.”

With the funds from their first business venture, the students plan to develop and launch their signature product. For more information about Hilltop Country Day School’s middle school curriculum, please visit www.hilltopcds.org.
