HS student awarded scholarship in photography

Sparta — A senior at Sparta High School, Carolyn Galgano, was the recipient of the 2017 New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival’s State Showcase Scholarship in Photography. Her teacher, Christine O'Brien-Mase, assigned her class to take emotive portraits for her AP Studio Art portfolio. This photograph was the result of her assignment. Her dog Charlie was taking a bath and she wanted to capture him sitting still. The title of the photograph is "Wet Dog"
