SPARTA — At K.E.E.P., Inc. L’il KEEPers, the wearing of the green is a yearly tradition for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
“Holiday celebrations are a great opportunity for children to learn about traditions and to explore various cultures,” said CEO Tricia A. Smith.
In keeping with the theme, story time featured books about St. Patrick’s Day and the children learned about Ireland.
Green being the featured color of the day, the celebration included a 'green feast' consisting of green soda bread, green jello, and green fruits and vegetables.
Of course no St. Patrick’s Day celebration would be complete without leprechauns and shamrocks, so each child had an opportunity to make their own during arts and crafts time.
