Lakeland Bank to celebrate grand opening of new branch

SPARTA — Lakeland Bank will host a Grand Opening Celebration Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to commemorate the opening of a state-of-the-art prototype branch in Sparta.
The 5,000-square-foot facility, located at 7 Town Center Drive, will feature the latest banking technologies including modern teller pod stations, ATM machines with automated deposit capacity, and up-to-the-minute communications through digital signage.
Through a limited time promotion, customers who open an Elite or Platinum Checking account at the new Sparta office may be eligible to receive a free Kindle Fire. The promotion runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
The celebration will feature prizes, family activities and refreshments including bagels, hot dogs, apple cider and donuts. Lakeland Bank will be giving away two iPads through a random drawing, and all attendees can spin a prize wheel for the chance to win numerous prizes. There will also be an autograph and photo opportunity with former NY Yankee third baseman Graig Nettles from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WSUS 102.3 FM will broadcast live from the Grand Opening which will also offer kid-friendly activities such as pumpkin decorating, face painting and a magician.
The new branch will officially open for business Sept. 15 and the existing Sparta Downtown (Rt. 181) office will Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. The Sparta Avenue office will close Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
