Lawyer named secretary of non-profit organization

— Jessica A. Jansyn, an attorney at Laddey, Clark & Ryan of Sparta, has been named Secretary to the Board of Directors of Mane Stream, a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional and medical challenges.

Mane Stream, located in Oldwick, New Jersey, uses equine-related activities such as horseback riding, equine assisted therapy, and education to assist individuals with disabilities. The center is designated a Premier Center by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.

Jansyn began as a volunteer in 2001 and worked as a barn staff member from 2006 to 2010. She was named to Board of Directors in 2011.

Jansyn’s law practice focuses on Employment and Labor law as well as Estates and Trusts planning, administration, and litigation. She earned her J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law. She was a member of the Seton Hall Law review and worked for two semesters at the law clinics at Seton Hall. Prior to that she received a B.A. degree in English and Mathematics from Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. After her undergraduate career, Ms. Jansyn spent a year working in Fuzhou, China teaching at a private women’s college.
