Miners host food truck and craft beer fest
Augusta — Mouthwatering food and ice cold craft beer is always a winning combination. Pair that with an exciting Sussex County Miners baseball game and spectacular fireworks and you have a lineup that cannot be beat. Join the Miners on Saturday, September 2 for their Grand Slam Food Truck & Craft Beer Fest at Skylands Stadium.
Head down to The Backyard Place, the Miners’ play and party area located to the left of the main entrance at Skylands Stadium, and sample scrumptious selections from a cornucopia of local food trucks, including: Zoelily’s Empanadas, V-Twins Concessions, Global Grub, Sue’s House of Fudge, Rolling Pita, Texas Smokehouse, Northeast Kettle Korn, Off The Hook, Cubano X-Press and The Guac Spot. The food trucks will be parked around The Backyard Place and will offer a wide array of options for whatever satisfies your taste buds.
Among the incredible selections at the Grand Slam Food Truck & Craft Beer Fest are the chicken and avocado waffles from The Guac Spot. These homemade avocado waffles are topped with arugula, fried chicken guacamole, chipotle maple syrup and candied bacon. Need to get your hands on some killer seafood? Head to Off The Hook and dig your teeth into their shrimp taco, made with succulent shrimp, black beans, corn and sriracha slaw. Sue’s House of Fudge is your place to satisfy that sweet tooth and Rolling Pita is a delectable option for the health conscious with incredible Mediterranean food. All food prices are set by the participating food trucks.
Wash all of that amazing food down with over 20 craft beers. The craft beer tent will be located on the third base side on Skylands Stadiums’ open-air picnic patio. All craft beers will be on sale for just $5 and will be served until the top of the 8th Inning.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and first pitch between the Miners and the Trois-Rivières Aigles is at 7:05 p.m. After the game is over, stick around for an amazing fireworks show, the biggest show in Sussex County.
