Organization receives donation

SPARTA — Kevin Lynott, of Elizabeth Town Gas, presented Pass It Along with a check in the amount of $4,000 for their Tilly's Kids program.

Tilly’s Kids, under the direction of Pastor Tilly Giresi and is an extension of the House of Mercy Mission in Newark. The program provides children spiritual nourishment and emotional well-being for their souls while teaching the them they are loved.

Many of the children in the program never have the opportunity to know that there is more to life than drugs, alcohol, verbal and physical abuse, gangs and crime.

Pass It Along's summer program exposes these inner-city children to a life outside of a poverty-stricken environment and helps to build their self esteem and self resiliency skills.
