Pass It Along makes a difference

SPARTA — On the fourth Saturday of October, millions of volunteers around the world unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others.
Make A Difference Day is a day to celebrate the power of people to make a difference.
In honor of this year's Make A Difference Day, Saturday, Oct. 25, Pass It Along hosted a food drive at the Sparta Stop and Shop where volunteers helped to collect 136 bags of nonperishable food items to be donated to local food pantries.
Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey pledged to match all food donations collected and will continue to collect food at their Hackettstown and Sparta offices through Nov. 18, again matching all donations made.

Pass It Along volunteers also assisted in collecting over 2,000 diapers and baby wipes to be donated to the Norwescap Diaper Bank and Wallkill Valley High School students hosted a Halloween party for the residents of Westwind Manor in Franklin.
