Pope John XXIII Regional High School students and faculty donated 250 toys to Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown on Dec. 19.
Organized by senior Isabella Metternich, students put together a Giving Christmas Tree. On the back of each ornament were presents for patients who are receiving care at the children’s hospital.
Metternich was inspired to give back to the hospital because her younger brother received care there.
From late November to mid-December, Pope John students and faculty chose an ornament from the tree and donated a gift to a family in need.
