Prayers for veterans

On Nov. 10 in recognition of Veterans' Day, St. Mary's Episcopal Church honored the members of the congregation who served the United States as members of the military. Veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines were recognized, and of the 14 veterans present, their respective service ran from World War II through Operation Enduring Freedom. The Rev. Carol Gadsden, Rector of St. Mary's, wrote a prayer for the occasion and individually blessed each veteran in thanksgiving for his service. St. Mary’s Church is located at 85 Conestoga Trail in Sparta.
