SPARTA The Junior Womans Club of Sparta recently presented a donation to Blessed Beginnings, a non-profit school that offers preschool, Year-to-Grow, and Kindergarten programs. Blessed Beginnings welcomes all children, regardless of religion or ethnic background.
The school, located in the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta on Main Street, needs to upgrade and replace the Kindergarten playground equipment in order to meet new state guidelines by 2014. The Junior Womans Club of Sparta is happy to assist, and donated $750 toward the schools goal. During the 2011 club year, the JWCS donated $49,000 to various charitable community organizations – many in Sparta, but some operating in the wider community.
The Junior Womans Club of Sparta is a non-profit, civic organization for women committed to promoting volunteerism, improving the community and fostering new friendships. New members are always warmly welcomed. For more information about the club visit www.jwcsparta.org.
