Running for Evin

Girls on the Run New Jersey North recently completed the community service component of their season by holding a Run for Evin. Evin Muse is a 9-year-old Sparta boy who was diagnosed this summer with bone cancer. Almost 60 girls helped prepare and advertise for the event, by making posters, signs, banners, and speaking to their classes about the event. The girls cut out hundreds of paper feet that were sold during lunch periods at the Helen Morgan School. Students purchased the feet for a dollar, and wrote messages of hope, encouragement, and cheer for a speedy recovery. On Tuesday, Oct. 16 the students ran a lap around the school in support of Evin. The students and Girls on the Run NJ will contribute $1118 to Evin and his family.
