Sparta Books to welcome 'Ladybug Girl' creators

The New York Times bestselling author and illustrator duo of Jacky Davis and David Soman from the award-winning series "Ladybug Girl" will be stopping by Sparta Books on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

They are on tour promoting their new book, "Ladybug Girl: The Super Fund Edition", a beautifully packaged gift edition of the first book in the series that has sold more than two million copies to date. Inspired by their own children and family experiences, the husband-and-wife creative team write the Ladybug Girl books together and Soman illustrates.

Each book in the Ladybug Girl series deals with a real kid emotion or issue. The Super Fun Edition kicked off the series with its focus on independence, imagination, and creative play, which are themes that carry through all the Ladybug Girl books.

Sparta Books will have the Super Fun Edition and lots of other great Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy books available for purchase. Jacky and David will personalize each book sold that evening.
