The Sparta Farmers’ Market will open for its third season on Saturday June 1.

The market has grown from 12 local farmers and artisans to over 20 local farmers each week and over 35 vendors during the Second Saturday Festival Series.

The market will host featured guests each week throughout the season including area chefs, dietitians, nutritionists and more. The market will also continue its music program as well as many family fun activities.

Opening day will bring a host of activities including NJ Highlands Student Business Competition awards ceremony, Guest Chef Michael Clampffer, Zumba, cross fit training demo, a guided edible foraging walk, LIVE radio broadcast by WSUS and over 30 local farms and artisans.

The Second Saturday Festival series will begin on June 8 and continue on each second Saturday of each month (June through October).

These seasonal festivals will feature local area artisans and crafters as well as a full roster of fun activities, educational programs, live music and family fun.

The Sparta Farmers’ Market is committed to sourcing the finest quality, locally made, and produced products.
