Sparta lawyer completes term as bar president
SPARTA — Lauren D. Fraser, a partner at Laddey, Clark and Ryan in Sparta, recently finished her term as President of the Sussex County Bar Association.
Fraser served as the organization's president from June 2014 through June 2015.
The SCBA has a current membership of 225 county lawyers and works in conjunction with the state bar to promote the legal profession and serve the public while practicing law and bringing legal issues to the state Legislature.
“I have had a wonderful year serving as President of the SCBA,” Fraser said. “I am both honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to serve this organization and work with the members of the SCBA to accomplish some amazing things.”
Throughout her term as president, Fraser expanded the CLE programs, created new revenue streams and commissioned a new and modern SCBA website. She also created a social media presence, revised and updated the bylaws and created a logo and brand with which the community can identify.
Through Fraser’s persistence she made the SCBA a presence in the community at the GOTR race by forming a team and helped raise $3,700 for the Lawyers Feeding NJ campaign through the New Jersey State Bar Association.
“We have a lot for which to be proud," Fraser said at the succession ceremony. "As they say, all boats rise with the tide. So remember to honor your colleagues when they succeed, assist them when they don't and above all else, share whatever you can, whenever you can.”
“We are all on this adventure in this profession together. And we're so lucky.”
John Williams of Nicosia Fahey and Williams, of Vernon, succeeded Fraser as the president of the SCBA.
