Sparta Squires continue Luminary Night legacy in December

Sparta — The Saint Kateri Squires Circle #5177 will host the 8th Annual Luminary Night to benefit the homeless on Saturday, December 9 beginning at 5 p.m.
Each year the Squires sell Luminary kits consisting of 10 votive candles, 10 paper bags, and a large ziplock of sand to hold down each bag. One kit costs $10 and all net proceeds are donated to Family Promise of Sussex County, the Samaritan Inn, the Sparta Food Pantry, and the Book Bank Foundation. Kits are available for purchase at the St. Kateri Squires booth at the Sparta German Christmas Market at Lake Mohawk on Dec.1 – 3, or at Greene’s Beans Café in Sparta. Donations can also be mailed to: St. Kateri Squires Annual Luminary Night, c/o St. Kateri parish at 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta, NJ 07871.
