While each of their businesses is different in industry, number of employees, and location, all of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce’s 16 new members saw value in joining the Chamber where they were welcomed at the organization’s recent Business to Business Breakfast.

Chamber of Commerce President Tammie Horsfield comments about the benfits of the mebership.

"Introducing new members is my favorite part of our monthly breakfast meetings,” Horsfield said. “It’s exciting to meet a fresh group of people who want to do business in Sussex County.” One of the Chamber’s primary membership values is found in the opportunity to build relationships through networking with other business people.\ “People like to do business with people they know and trust," she added.

Mary Jean Ellis, a local lawyer attended the breakfast.

“We joined the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce for an opportunity to be a part of a thriving business community, to support others in their endeavors and to bring our services to a larger audience," said Ellis.

Beckie Sajban, owner of Painted Grape, a craft and paint studio in Hamburg also sees benefits for small business owners.

" As a small business owner and operator, it’s overwhelming to put yourself out there. Joining the Chamber gives me the opportunity to get involved with my community and network with other business owners just like myself," said Sajban.

The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce office is located in the Chase Bank building at 120 Hampton House Road in Newton and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
