The circus comes to town

SPARTA — On Sept. 20, Sparta Unico brought back The Zerbini Family Circus to Sparta at the Mohawk Avenue School front lawn, where they thrilled and entertained children of all ages with two almost sold out shows.

Jeff Paniccuci, Circus Chairman and Sparta Unico Member was at the gate greeting attendee's along with Chapter President Ken Carafello.

Sparta Unico hopes to continue the circus as an annual event with new acts and excitement evident in this years show.

Sparta Unico is a non-profit organization, helping local charities, the needy, giving scholarships to area high school graduates, among other causes.

It's motto is "Service above Self."

Meetings are held at the Sparta Ambulance Building, lower level, every third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.
